Everything a program office asks about DaggerOS.

Answer-first, cited where it matters, and written to be read fast. If a question isn't here, email Ops@blackbyrne.com.

What is DaggerOS?
DaggerOS is an air-gapped, evidence-first multi-domain decision-support operating system built by BlackByrne. It fuses counter-UAS, electronic warfare, SIGINT, maritime, ground robotics, CBRN, cyber defense, SATCOM and space-domain sensing into one operator picture, and commits every effect through a single human authorization gate.
Is DaggerOS actually air-gapped?
Yes. DaggerOS boots from encrypted media onto commodity hardware and runs fully disconnected at the edge by design, not as a degraded fallback mode. It makes zero external network calls — a claim this website measures live rather than only asserting.
Can DaggerOS act or fire on its own?
No. There is no autonomous engagement path. Every effect requires a deliberate, sustained human hold at one gate, aligned to DoDD 3000.09. The system proposes and ranks; it never arms, fires, or acts on its own. This is enforced in the architecture, not a setting that can be toggled off. Prove it yourself.
What is the Human Gate?
The Human Gate is DaggerOS's single authorization checkpoint. Every effect — in any domain — requires a deliberate, sustained human hold to commit, and is sealed to a tamper-evident record. One gate serves every capability; there is no separate fast path.
Which mission domains does DaggerOS cover?
Ten mission domains on one codebase: Counter-UAS, Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, EO/IR, SATCOM and Space Domain Awareness, CBRN, Maritime, Ground Robotics, Resilient PNT, and Cyber Defense — each re-tasked from the same sense-decide-effect spine and the same human gate. See each domain.
Does BlackEcho make decisions on its own?
No. BlackEcho is an offline, on-box AI co-pilot that reads the fused picture, explains it, and ranks courses of action — then stops. Reachable hands-free by voice, it can stage aircraft, swarms, sensors and electronic-warfare effects and speak a brief back, but it executes only on the operator's word. It never arms, fires, or emits on its own.
How is evidence and chain of custody handled?
Every track, detection and decision is written to a tamper-evident, SHA-256-chained record. Alter one block and every seal after it breaks. The government owns the record outright. This site lets you test the cryptographic property yourself, in your browser.
What TRL is DaggerOS, and what was T-REX 26-2?
TRL 7–8. DaggerOS was demonstrated under live, operationally representative, third-party conditions at T-REX 26-2 in May 2026 — real operators, real hardware, real exercise traffic. It is reported as a field demonstration, not a formal government certification.
What hardware does DaggerOS require?
DaggerOS is airframe- and hardware-agnostic, built to run on commodity compute and compatible with MAVLink, ArduPilot and PX4. The value is the operating system and the human gate above it, not any specific platform beneath it.
What standards is DaggerOS aligned to?
DoDD 3000.09, NIST RMF 800-37, NIST 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK, DoDI 8530.01, FIPS 180-4/186-5, NATO SAPIENT, STANAG 4609/4607, ASTERIX, ASTM F3411 Remote ID, ATP-45, WCAG 2.2, MIL-STD-1472, and FAR/DFARS. Alignment is a governance and interoperability posture, not a certification; BlackByrne does not claim an ATO, FedRAMP authorization, or CMMC certification. See the full matrix.
What acquisition paths does BlackByrne support?
FAR Part 12 commercial-item acquisition, Other Transaction Authority (OTA), SBIR Phase III sole-source, and firm-fixed-price delivery. Commercial software is licensed per DFARS 227.7202; the government owns all mission data and outputs.
Who is BlackByrne, and who is it built for?
BlackByrne is a United States defense-technology company, the maker of DaggerOS, and an affiliate of BlackTimber Defense. It is built for DoD program offices, SOCOM and SOF, DHS and federal law enforcement, fusion centers and SLTT agencies, prime integrators, and coalition partners. NAICS 541330; contact Ops@blackbyrne.com.
Can I verify these claims independently?
Yes. On the Verify page you can hold the Human Gate yourself and let go early to watch nothing commit, tamper the evidence ledger and watch the SHA-256 chain break, and hash a served asset — all in your own browser, with nothing sent anywhere.
